We give square dancing a modern twist featuring contemporary music and an emphasis on mind and body strengthening. No partner is necessary. Come join us and try something new, and if you like it, we will be offering classes on Tuesdays at the Levy Center in Evanston.

Introduction to Square Dance Class:
The perfect class for beginners to try something new and explore square dancing. During the class you'll learn roughly 50 pre-scripted moves or calls while moving with friendly folks in rhythm. No experience, partner, or special clothing necessary. The joy is in the journey!

Square dancing is a great way to get moving and socialize with others. It's fun! North Shore Squares offers free introductory sessions in the fall and the spring so you can find out if square dancing is for you. So why not give it a try and see what the fuss is about?

If you like the free intro session, you'll be invited to join one of our classes for beginners, at which you will learn the many calls you need in order to dance at a social level, in squares of eight.
