Social Square Dancing (SSD) was developed as an entry-level dance program. SSD is a fun yet meaningful dance program that is a shorter, easier entry program for new dancers.
SSD was approved as a CALLERLAB Program and added to the Program Policy Statement in 2021.
Mainstream (MS) and Plus Square Dancing are square dance lists of defined square dance calls or dance steps which are associated with a higher level of difficulty.
Mainstream and Plus are approved CALLERLAB Programs. Mainstream was last revised June 21, 2010. Plus was last revised on February 22, 2021.
