Fundamentals of SSD

Description:

This is a 12-week class to help those of who have learned SSD but would like help improving execution and gaining confidence to participate in dances.

Blue Ribbon SSD

Description:

A prerequisite for Plus.  Challenges dancers to execute SSD calls from all formations and arrangements.  Increases dancer flexibility and ability to see configurations of designated dancers.  Homework required.

  • Class is not currently offered

  • The City of Evanston Rec department has a new online registration system.  This system is somewhat better than the old system but has a few quirks you should know about. 

  • Instead of showing prices for Evanston and non-Evanston residents; the site shows the Non-resident price and then provides a 23% discount for students living in Evanston. I have asked many times for eliminating the resident/non-res difference but it is an unfortunate element of working with Evanston Rec.  We benefit a lot from our relationship with Evanston but this is an area we just must accept.

  • North Shore Squares offers 75% scholarships for those who find the cost of classes a challenge.  Contact Wendy Donovan (donovanwen9@gmail.com) for information.
